In the initial two courses of the ADL program, I was challenged to expand my perspectives within the educational context. In 5305, Disruptive Innovation in Technology, our main emphasis was on developing our Innovation Plan. This required evaluating my current role in the classroom and devising strategies to improve student engagement and learning. To reinforce our Innovation Plan, extensive research was conducted, resulting in the creation of a Literature Review. This review explored the diverse functions of ePortfolios in educational settings, combining recent studies to highlight their impact on student learning. To conclude our plan, an Implementation Outline was crafted to outline how and when our innovation plan would be introduced and implemented in our current educational or work environments. In the course "Concept of Educational Technology," we explored the concept of mindset. It became clear to me that I typically have a fixed mindset and I learned about the benefits of a Growth Mindset and how to transition from a Fixed Mindset to a Growth Mindset. I am now beginning to trust in my ability to develop and enhance my learning through overcoming challenges and dedicated effort.

The assigned readings and video discussions provided me with insights on how to help my students cultivate a Growth Mindset. Success in learning in both these courses hinged on engaging with fellow learners, sharing insights, and collaborating to learn collectively. I collaborated with several classmates including, Nadia, Joseph, Thadddus, Melissa, Jelisa, Khelia, and Faith. I presented my work to my peers and received constructive feedback to enhance my plan. Furthermore, I supported fellow learners by reviewing their assignments and providing guidance and recommendations. I was part of a group where we would share ideas, ask questions, and solicit feedback. I also participated in discussions in an online forum on various subjects. In both courses I attended most of the weekly meetings, missing one due to being out of town, however I did review the recorded session. I would assign myself a 95/100 in the EDLD 5302 and in the EDLD 5305 course, I would assign myself a 40/50 as I completed all assignments before or by the due date. I also attended the weekly and biweekly meetings and participated in all but one discussion group. I have identified areas in both courses where I can improve and develop further.

Going ahead, I plan to take the feedback provided to help my learning and progress in upcoming classes. Additionally, I aim to engage more actively in discussions and group projects to gain diverse perspectives and enhance my collaborative skills. By setting specific goals and regularly reflecting on my performance, I hope to continuously improve and achieve a deeper understanding of the subject matter of the ADL program. Ultimately, my objective is to not only excel academically but also to develop a well-rounded skill set that will benefit me in my future endeavors.I feel I put by best effort into each course and accepted the feedback given on each assignment as opportunities for growth and improvement. I sought out additional resources and engaged with my peers to deepen my understanding of the subject matter. This proactive approach not only enhanced my knowledge but also built a supportive community around me. I believe that my dedication and resilience will serve me well in any future endeavors, as I continue to strive to enhance my growth mindset and embrace lifelong learning.
