5305 Reflection

Reflecting on my journey from 8 weeks ago, I realize my initial motivation for embarking on this path. Initially, I sought to enhance my knowledge of technology and teaching students, but now I view it as a personal opportunity for growth and transformation, not just for others. Understanding the concept of an innovated technological approach to teaching and its significance in my learning and career has been enlightening. I have also discovered how to instill this mindset in the young minds of my students. Furthermore, this course has shown me the value of relying on my peers and providing support to them, which has been an unexpected but rewarding aspect of this program. The camaraderie and sense of community that have blossomed among us have been truly heartwarming. Each challenge we faced was met with collective effort and shared wisdom, turning potential obstacles into valuable learning experiences.

Moreover, the practical skills I've gained have far surpassed my expectations. From mastering new software tools to developing innovative teaching strategies, I've grown more confident in my ability to adapt and thrive in ever-evolving educational landscapes. It's also been a joy to see my students respond positively to these new methods, their curiosity and enthusiasm reignited.

As I look towards the future, I am filled with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement. I am committed to continuing this journey of lifelong learning and to fostering an environment where my students can do the same. This experience has not only equipped me with the tools to be a better educator but has also deepened my appreciation for the power of education to transform lives.

Leadership Binders to ePortfolios: Making the Switch

In this digital era, ePortfolios have entered the technological world as indispensable means of displaying school work, achievements, projects, and goals while fostering opportunities for further student led learning. By having students create their own ePortfolio, we would be cultivating more student engagement and creativity. Students would be able to reflect more on their learning and connect their learning to that of their peers, community, and real world experiences. The students would take ownership of their learning through the process of ePortfolios. With the change in curriculum involving Tech Time, this would be an innovative way to still allow for some student technology use and learning.
